Save Me...Chapter 3

A few hours after the deal with Naraku, it begins to turn nightfall and we stop somewhere near a mountain. Sesshomaru orders Jaken to get the demon, then Jaken quickly goes off do that while Sesshomaru and I stay put.

‘What demon could they be talking abou-OH MY GOD! WHAT IS THAT THING!?’

A huge. red demon with burning red eyes, razor blade teeth and devilish horns appears with Jaken on it’s left shoulder.

“Hop on!” Jaken laughs.

“Your crazy! I’m not getting on that-WOAH!” Before I could finish my sentence, Sesshomaru picks me up bridal style and hops up to the demon’s right shoulder. He sits down but I stand up  and hold onto the demon’s ear, fear runs throughout my body.

“Oh come on! I could’ve just followed you on A-un!” I cry.

Jaken then steers the demon to go a certain way but as soon as the demon begins to walk, I panic and sit down while holding on to Lord Sesshomaru for dear life.

“Eeeeek!!” I cry into Sesshomaru’s chest. Sesshomaru ignores me and just let’s me hold on to him

After a few minutes the giant demon climbs one of the mountains onto what appears to be a small village. The villagers scream in terror and run for their lives.

All of a sudden the demon stops walking. I look down to see Kagome and three other people with her. There was also a short, fox looking boy who is utterly adorable! One of the men had black hair, and from the looks of it, he looked like a monk. The other one sort of looked like Sesshomaru but had cute, puppy dog ears on his head.

‘I feel like touching them...hm, that’s weird…’

“Kagome!” I cry out to her.

“__________?! What are you doing up there!?” She yells, completely terrified of what I was doing up on the Demon’s shoulder.

“It’s a long story!” I laugh. All fun aside, Sesshomaru flies down to them and attacks them with his poison claws. Kagome, the fox child and the monk ran away.

“Kagome!” I yell again but once I see the ground, I get scared and hold on to the demon for dear life. “Ahhh! Why me!?!”

“Don’t worry ________! I’ll get you down!” Kagome shouts but is almost hit by the demon, I loose my balance and fall off the demons shoulder.

“Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!” I scream out and wait for the impact, but it never comes.

I open my eyes to see that I am in the arms of the monk.

“Eh! Thank you for saving me um...”

“Miroku” Miroku smiles gently.

“Um thank you Miroku, um can you let go of me now?”

“But why ruin the moment?” Miroku begins to caress my ass.

My cheeks get red from anger and I slap the said monk across the face.

“PERVERT!”

“Ugh! Really Miroku?! This is no time to be funny!” Kagome drags Miroku and me into a bush.

“Hello my name is Shippo!” The fox boy introduces himself.

“Why hello there Shippo! My name is ________!” I smile.

“It’s nice to meet you _________! What were you doing with Inuyasha’s older brother?” Shippo asks.

“It’s a rather bothersome story” I laugh nervously.

“___________, are you alright?!” Kagome asks with deep concern.

“I’m fine Kagome, really” I laugh.

“Draw your sword Inuyasha, or will you surrender it now?” Sesshomaru says.

“No way! This time I’ll take off more than just your arm!” Inuyasha yells and then draws Tessaiga.

Inuyasha and Sesshomaru begin to duel, Inuyasha swings his sword but Sesshomaru evades it every time.

‘Sesshomaru is great in battle, I don’t think Inuyasha will win this time, but I don’t want to say that out loud...’

Everyone gasps.

I wasn’t really paying attention so when I looked up Sesshomaru was holding the Tessaiga with arm that Naraku had given him.

“I’m the Tessaiga’s rightful owner, stand back as I demonstrate it’s true power” Sesshomaru looks to his left. “Jaken” he ordered sternly.

“Yes my lord! I shall summon all the demons down from the mountain!” Jaken answers.

“Go fourth!!” The giant demon strikes the mountain with his hand and as he does that the ground shakes.

“Wah! What’s going on!?” I cry.

A cloud of demons begin to rise through the trees, it seems like there are a thousand of them, their terrible screeches are heard.

Sesshomaru swipes the Tessaiga in one great, powerful swoop.

All the demons were wiped out in that one swoop.

“Eh the mountain!” Shippo quivers.

“He slayed the demons! And he also split the mountain!” Miroku says in astonishment.

“Woah...That was totally awesome Lord Sesshomaru!” I yell, amazed just how powerful Sesshomaru really is.

Everyone looks at me with a deadpan expression.

“Eh what?” I say not really thinking it was bad to congratulate him.

Sesshomaru smirks at my outburst.

“Now see, this sword, forged from our own father’s fang is supreme. Unfortunately, the Tessaiga is not capable of choosing its owner but perhaps now you, a mere half-breed, realize that you can NEVER master it!” Sesshomaru says.

I listen to Sesshomaru’s words and don’t realize that Kagome standing up in the bushes, until I hear her scream Inuyasha’s name.

Miroku stands up to grab Kagome’s arm before she tried to run to Inuyasha.

“Hold it Kagome! Stop right there! I shall go! All of you make sure to stay behind me” Miroku says.

“You’re going to use your hand?” Kagome asks.

“Hand?” I say, not sure at what they were getting at.

“Just wait and see” Miroku smirks and runs in front of Inuyasha.

“I’m afraid I can listen to this no longer! I must put an end to this foolish sibling rivalry!” Miroku says in a distinguished manner. Kagome, Shippo and I move behind Inuyasha.

“HEY BUTT OUT!” Inuyasha yells angrily, “I can handle this!”

Inuyasha tries to push Miroku behind but it fails because Miroku pushes him behind.

“Not on your own you can’t!” Miroku says.

“Back off creep I want to stand in the front!” Inuyasha yells.

“Don’t be such a stubborn mule!” Miroku yells back.

“QUIT IT!” I yell.

They all look at me.

“Will you assholes quit fighting!? You're both acting like five year olds!” I yell, utterly frustrated.

Inuyasha looks at Kagome. “Who is this chick?”

Kagome nervously laughs. “This is one of my friends from my era, I think she accidently fell in the well too”.

Breaking us apart from the conversation, the giant demon moves a step closer.

“My lord! Allow me to finish the monk off! No sense in wasting your energy on such a feeble opponent!” Jaken yells from the top of the giant demon.

“As you wish, I will observe” Sesshomaru answers back calmly.

The giant demon’s hand rises up, ready to smash us. “Onward! Crush them all!” Jaken yells.

“Move back!” Miroku yells, then unleashes the beads from his hand. “Wind Tunnel!”

A giant vortex shoots out from his hand.

“Woah! So that’s what he meant by his hand!” I say in astonishment.

Sesshomaru uses the Tessaiga to withstand the power of Miroku’s wind tunnel. Unfortunately, the giant demon begins to get sucked into the vortex as Jaken screams for his life.

While Kagome and Shippo clap for Miroku, and Inuyasha watches him in jealousy, I take a glance at Sesshomaru. He has something in his hand...I gasp.

‘It’s the hive of the saimyosho, what does he plan to do with it?’

Sesshomaru throws the hive in the air and it explodes, a huge swarm of wasp like things come out of it.

The wasps don’t attack us though, they start heading...into Miroku’s hand?

“Giant insects?!” Miroku panics.

“What are those things?” Kagome asks terrified. “Wait! They’re not being sucked in, they’re flying at him!”

Miroku closes his wind tunnel and falls on his knees. Pain clearly written all over his face.

“Inuyasha! You’ll have to take over!” Miroku gasps in pain.

Some saimyosho begin to get close to us.

I flail my arms while running away screaming. Inuyasha starts tearing them apart with his claws. Kagome runs to her backpack to find medicine for Miroku. Apparently the Saimyosho carry poison and that led to Miroku being poisoned. I grab on to Miroku’s staff to hit some wasps away while Shippo uses his fox fire to watch my back. Inuyasha uses blades of blood to attack Sesshomaru but it doesn’t work. We all run behind the giant demons dead carcass as protection.

“We’ve got company!” Shippo cowers onto my leg in fear.

I look over the carcass to see that Sesshomaru is walking towards us.

‘He looks so scary now..... ’

I look over to Inuyasha for any plans, but he looks awfully nervous, which makes me also nervous and scared.

I begin to tremble in fear.

“This is the end for you…” Sesshomaru says.

I hold onto Inuyasha for dear life.

“Die”

I shut my eyes tight, I wait for the impact of the Tessaiga.

Everything goes black.

I begin to hear birds chirping and the smell of food hits me.

I blink a few times to get my vision correct with my surroundings. I’m laying on a mat in a hut.

“W-wha- wasn’t I with Kagome and fighting...Sesshomaru?” I clutch my head in pain.

“Ah! Ye are awake now child” A new voice says.

I turn to look and see a old women with an eye patch over her right eye, she was wearing what looked to be what a priestess would wear in the Feudal Era.

“Um how did I get here?” I ask.

“Kagome and Inuyasha brought ye here. Here have some tea” The old woman hands me a cup of tea.

I take it and thank her, I begin to drink the tea. It taste a little yucky but I drink it down to not be rude.

“May I ask for your name and how you know Kagome?” I ask politely.

“My name is Kaede, I know Kagome because she came to this village in the same clothing as you wear. She was in the forest of Inuyasha when I first met her and I thought she was a demon. Apparently she came from the bone eaters well” Kaede stirs a huge pot that was in the middle of the hut.

“Oh I see, that’s where I came from too. So the Well isn’t far from here?” I ask.

“Correct” She answers

“Wow, I wish I could of know that sooner” I laugh.

“Why is that dear?” She asks.

“Well I sort of got mixed up with Inuyasha’s older brother, Sesshomaru” I answer.

“Ah yes, Kagome told me of that. I’m honestly quite surprised” Kaede says.

“Uh why is that?”

“Because Sesshomaru is a heartless demon and he would've killed you” Kaede drinks her tea like what she said was nothing important.

“Gee, lucky me” I deadpan.

The woman laughs. “Maybe he took a liking to ye”.

I blush at the thought but don’t say anything. It was terrifying how Jaken would overly talk about how Sesshomaru hated humans and his brother, but you would think Sesshomaru would deny my request to traveling with him or kill me for even asking him. It was weird now that I thought about it but it couldn’t have been that he liked me...right? I mean, I’m a human, he hates humans.

Kagome then walks into the hut, breaking me out of my thoughts

“_________! I’m so glad you’re okay!” Kagome yells happily.

“Thanks Kagome” I smile.

“Well ready to go home?” She smiles.

“Uh yeah!” I smile. I turn to Kaede “Thank you for taking care of me Kaede I am very grateful to you!” I smile brightly and bow in respect.

“No special thanks are needed child, it was a pleasure to help any friend of Kagome’s” She smiles.

I grab my things and say goodbye to Kaede, then walk out of the hut with Kagome. The village is cute and small, children run past us with laughter. The sun is high in the sky, shining bright like all the villagers smiles. They wave to Kagome and I, and shout their hellos. Being here is delightful and peaceful.

‘It’s so...nice here…’

“So Feudal Era huh?” I break the silence.

“Yup!” Kagome laughs.

“This is so weird and...bizarre!”

“I know! I couldn’t believe it either!”

“You know your family is really worried about you?”

“Uh actually I went back a few days ago to visit them, I told them everything” She says nervously.

“What!? You went back?! Did they tell you I was missing!?” I yell.

“They did but there is so much land to cover here! I tried to look for you but couldn’t find you near here. I didn’t give up looking for you though! What kind of friend would I be if I left you in the Feudal Era all alone?”

“Yeah you’re right. But why did you come back here, to the Feudal Era?” I ask as we start to head into the forest.

“Oh it’s a long story” she says.

“Well I’d be happy to listen” I say.

Kagome started to tell me that when she first came through the well it was because a demon was after the Shikon Jewel that was inside her. She didn’t know she had the jewel inside her but when the demon sliced her belly a jewel came out. The Shikon Jewel is very powerful and can give the person whoever has it powerful abilities. That’s why no one, or demon, should have it. Then she talked about how Inuyasha wanted the jewel to become a full blooded demon, instead of just being a half demon. There used to be a powerful priestess named Kikyo that watched over the jewel so no one could get it. Kikyo met Inuyasha and they both fell in love. Kagome seemed irked by this but continued on with the story. A demon by the name of Naraku tricked both of them to turning against one another. Inuyasha attacked Kikyo and stole the Shikon Jewel, but before Inuyasha could make off with the jewel, Kikyo pierced Inuyasha to the thousand year old sacred tree with a sacred arrow. In the last moments of  Kikyo’s life she asked her young sister, Kaede, to burn the Shikon Jewel with her body so no one can have it. Kagome told me that she is in fact the reincarnation of Kikyo, that’s why when that demon sliced her the jewel came out. She then proceeded to tell me that she accidently fired a sacred arrow at the Shikon jewel and now it was spread all over. Talk about clumsy.

“I get it, so you are trying to recover the shikon jewel”

“Yes and we have to get it back before Naraku does” Kagome frowns at the name.

“Ugh...that guy? He was super creepy…” I say.

“Wait! You met Naraku, with your own eyes?” She asks flabbergasted.

“Well not his face but he had a baboon mask on and a huge furry white thing over him” I answer.

She gasps. “You saw him though! Where?!”

“Uh I don’t know! But it was before we found you guys at that mountain village, he made a deal with Sesshomaru. He gave Sesshomaru a human arm so he could take the Tessaiga but would have to kill Inuyasha as a favor” I say.

“Oh my gosh! That jerk!” She yells angrily.

I nod. “Oh! And there was a shikon jewel in the arm too!”

“Yeah we got it from him after we beat him”

“All I remember was that Inuyasha, Miroku, Shippo and I were cornered behind that giant demon and then the a strike from the Tessaiga went off”

“Yeah it did but you made it out alive with Miroku and Shippo with you but you were knocked unconscious due to the blast” Kagome says sadly.

“Oh”.

“Well let’s not wait out here in the open” Kagome stands on top of one of the sides of the well and puts her hand out for me. “Let’s go back home”

“Yeah” I take her hand in mine and stand right next to her on top of one of the sides of the well.

I take a deep breath and jump into the well with Kagome.
